About
InternVL2-40B is a mid-large member of the InternVL 2.0 series from OpenGVLab, released in July 2024. It pairs the InternViT-6B-448px-V1-5 vision encoder with the Nous-Hermes-2-Yi-34B language model.
It is instruction-tuned on long texts, multiple images and video with an 8k context window, and is competitive with proprietary commercial models on document and chart comprehension, infographics QA, OCR, scientific and mathematical problem solving, and cultural understanding. It is distributed as open weights on Hugging Face.
