About

Sky-T1-32B-Preview is a 32B reasoning model from UC Berkeley's NovaSky team that performs on par with OpenAI's o1-preview on math and coding benchmarks — and was famously trained for less than $450 on 8 H100s in 19 hours. It is fully open: weights, training data, and code are all public, distilled from QwQ-32B-Preview with GPT-4o-mini curation.

It beats o1-preview on MATH500 (82.4) and AIME 2024 (43.3) but trails it on GPQA-Diamond, so it is strongest on math and code rather than broad science.
