Seedance 2.5, ByteDance's next-generation video model, previewed at the June 23, 2026 FORCE conference and officially launched July 31, 2026, with API access following through August via BytePlus. It doubles the single-pass clip length of Seedance 2.0 from 15 to 30 seconds, raises reference inputs from 12 to 50 assets (images, video, and audio), and adds timestamp-level partial editing so one region of a clip can be fixed without regenerating the whole shot.
It accepts text, image, or video input with native audio and lip sync, outputs at 480p and 720p (with 1080p added in an August update), and supports 3D blockout inputs and motion control references. Seedance 2.0 remains available alongside it for jobs needing native 4K output. The model is served through Dreamina and third-party platforms such as fal.ai and Kie.ai.
