Niji 6

Niji 6 is the anime-specialized variant of Midjourney's image generation platform, developed with Spellbrush and released in alpha in January 2024. It tunes Midjourney's base model for anime aesthetics: improved coherence, stronger prompt following on longer prompts, image prompting, and style and character reference support.

Users enable it with the --niji 6 parameter or through /settings, with a --style raw option to dial back the anime look. It became the reference tool for anime character design, manga-style illustration, and stylized concept art among digital artists. Like all Midjourney models, it is proprietary and available only through Midjourney's Discord bot and web app on paid plans, with no public weights or API.
