Falcon Arabic
TII's 7B Arabic adaptation of Falcon 3, native not translated.
About
Falcon Arabic is a 7-billion-parameter Arabic-focused adaptation of Falcon 3-7B announced by the UAE's Technology Innovation Institute on May 21, 2025, alongside the hybrid-architecture Falcon-H1. TII expanded the vocabulary with 32,000 Arabic-specific tokens and trained on native Arabic data rather than machine-translated text, covering Modern Standard Arabic alongside Gulf, Levantine and other regional dialects, with a 32K-token context window. In TII's OALL v2 evaluation at release, Falcon Arabic led models in its size class and some models up to four times larger; as with all vendor-reported benchmarks, treat those as launch-time, methodology-dependent claims.
TII announced Falcon Arabic as an open model under the TII Falcon License, an Apache 2.0-based license promoting responsible use. Note that one later third-party review found no downloadable base or instruct weight repositories in TII's official Hugging Face collection as of mid-2026, so verify actual weight availability before planning a deployment. It was succeeded in the Arabic lane by Falcon-H1 Arabic and the Emirati-dialect Falcon-Emirati.
