EuroLLM 9B Instruct
EU-funded multilingual LLM covering all 24 official EU languages.
About
EuroLLM 9B Instruct is the instruction-tuned variant of EuroLLM-9B, a 9 billion parameter language model developed by a consortium of nine European research institutions and companies led by Unbabel, with funding from the European Union Digital Europe programme. The base model was trained on 4 trillion tokens across web data, parallel corpora, and high-quality datasets, then tuned on EuroBlocks, an instruction dataset with emphasis on general instruction following and machine translation.
The model covers 35 languages including all 24 official EU languages plus Arabic, Catalan, Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Turkish, and others. It is released under Apache 2.0 and runs on a single 24GB GPU at full precision, with community GGUF quantizations available for CPU and edge deployment.
