Decision 3.0 is a family of six open decision models released October 10, 2026 by the vLLM Semantic Router (vllm-sr) team: d3 (27B), d3-flash (9B), d3-mini, d3-nano, d3-lite (0.8B), and d3-edge (0.6B). All are Apache-2.0 and built on Qwen3.5 and Qwen3.8 backbones. Five of the six read images and video.
Instead of generating text, they answer choice, yes/no, and score questions about a text, JSON, image, or video input in a single call, returning a probability per answer. The flagship d3 scores 65.45 on the Jev Decision Index 0.3 public suite (vendor-measured) and 77.4 on Perception Test video QA, with 55 ms median text latency on one AMD MI325X GPU. This is the vLLM project's open decision layer for intelligent routing.
