Zoho Desk

Zia AI inside the Zoho ecosystem's helpdesk.

About

Zoho Desk is the customer service arm of the Zoho suite, and its AI assistant Zia handles ticket auto-tagging, sentiment analysis, reply suggestions, and a customer-facing Answer Bot. The pricing ladder matters more here than with most helpdesks: the free tier (3 agents) has no AI, lower paid plans require you to bring your own OpenAI API key for generative features, and the full Zia suite historically sat on the $40/user/month Enterprise plan — though 2026 coverage notes the Answer Bot now lands at $14 and built-in Zia at $23.

Zia works best inside the Zoho walled garden; it cannot see context living in Confluence, Google Docs, or Slack, and users describe it as reactive rather than proactive — it won't mine your ticket history for knowledge gaps on its own. For teams already running Zoho CRM and friends, the data sharing is the selling point. Everyone else should weigh the ecosystem lock-in.
