Drizzle ORM Skill

Agent skill that teaches coding agents Drizzle ORM — schemas, migrations, relational queries, prepared statements.

About

A community skill package (from the YepAPI skills collection) that teaches AI coding agents to use Drizzle ORM correctly: type-safe schema definitions with pgTable/mysqlTable, the push-vs-migrate workflow (drizzle-kit push for local iteration, generate + migrate for production), relational queries via relations() helpers, transactions, and prepared statements with sql.placeholder() for hot paths. It explicitly guards against the classic pitfalls — using push in production, missing relations() so relational queries silently fail, N+1 patterns, and unindexed foreign keys.

The honest picture: this is a third-party skill, not official Drizzle documentation — treat it as a curated shortcut, not gospel, and verify against drizzle-orm's own docs when something looks off. Skill quality varies across the YepAPI collection, and agent-skill conventions are still young, so expect occasional staleness as Drizzle ships new versions.

What it can do

  • Type-safe schema and query patterns for Drizzle
  • Push vs migrate workflow guidance
  • Relational queries with relations() helpers
  • Prepared statements and transaction safety
  • Pitfall prevention (N+1, missing indexes, prod push)
