About
Weaviate Agent Skills is the official open-source skills repository from Weaviate, announced in February 2026, that equips coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, VS Code, and Gemini CLI to generate production-ready code for Weaviate workflows. Skills cover cluster management (schema inspection, collection creation), data lifecycle operations (CSV/JSON/JSONL imports, example data generation), agentic search via the Query Agent, and retrieval modes including hybrid, semantic, and keyword search.
The release builds on Weaviate's Query Agent, which reached general availability in September 2025 with multi-collection routing, query expansion, and reranking. The repo also ships slash commands and application blueprints for RAG, agentic RAG, and chatbots, and developers can test against Weaviate Cloud's free 14-day Sandbox clusters. Being a February 2026 launch, the skill set is young; expect rapid iteration and verify version-sensitive behavior.
