Vibma
Open-source MCP server that lets AI agents design directly inside Figma.
About
Vibma ('vibe design meets Figma') is an open-source MCP server from ufira-ai that gives AI coding agents full write access to Figma. Through 74 MCP tools across 17 modules, an agent can read layouts, create frames and components, manage auto-layout, apply styles and typography, bind design variables, lint designs, and export CSS — all conversationally, from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible client. A companion Figma plugin bridges the local MCP server to the Figma canvas over a WebSocket relay. It ships with 'harness engineering': smart warnings that steer agents toward design best practices instead of hardcoded hacks.
The honest picture: it's a young project (v0.1.0) from a small team, so expect rough edges and breaking changes. Output quality depends heavily on the driving model — the project's own benchmarks recommend GPT-5.3 Codex or Claude Opus-class models for iterative work, and warn that weaker models produce frames that look right but aren't structurally usable. You also need the Figma plugin running alongside the MCP server, which is two moving parts to keep alive.
