Vetology
Veterinary AI radiology platform pairing automated X-ray screening with on-demand board-certified teleradiologists.
About
Vetology combines AI screening of canine and feline radiographs with access to board-certified and board-eligible veterinary radiologists. Its AI generates structured reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations within minutes, and in 2026 the company rebuilt all 94 of its classifiers on a new architecture that reads both single images and linked studies. Unusually for the space, Vetology publishes sensitivity and specificity for every classifier, condition by condition, for example 88.1% sensitivity and 99.3% specificity for feline pleural effusion across 35,131 screened cases.
The platform includes unlimited DICOM storage, a built-in PACS, integrations with major digital X-ray brands and select PIMS and AI scribe platforms, including a one-click referral integration with ScribbleVet. Complex cases route to human radiologists with STAT reads in about two hours and routine reads in about 24 hours. The San Diego-based company positions the AI explicitly as decision support: vets can disagree with, edit, or set aside any finding, and the company invites independent researchers to evaluate its models.
What it can do

- Structured AI screening reports in minutes
- Board-certified teleradiologists on demand
- STAT reads in ~2 hours, routine in ~24 hours
- Built-in PACS with unlimited DICOM storage
- Integration with PIMS and AI scribe platforms
- Support for radiographs, ultrasound, CT, and MRI
Setup

Trust score — 8/10
Scored 8/10 (TIER verified, metrics-v1). Evidence: vendor publishes per-classifier sensitivity and specificity with case counts at vetology.net/ai-classifier-performance; AnimalHealthX documents the 2026 rebuild of all 94 classifiers; ScribbleVet partnership via PR Newswire. Strengths: rare transparency with published performance data, explicit decision-support positioning, human radiologist backstop with defined turnaround times. Docked for: (1) performance figures are vendor-measured and independent evaluations are invited but not yet published; (2) pricing is not public. License: proprietary SaaS.
