About
Venice AI is a privacy-focused generative AI platform launched in 2024 by ShapeShift founder Erik Voorhees. It offers chat, image generation, video generation, and real-time web search using open-source models, without storing conversations on centralized servers and without rigid content filters beyond legality.
Venice Studio lists dozens of image models with a simple prompt-and-download workflow, plus upscale, background removal, and variants on Pro. Inference is allocated through daily allowances on the free tier or via the VVV and DIEM tokens, and a developer API is available.
