About
Union.ai is the commercial platform behind Flyte, the open-source Kubernetes-based workflow orchestration project originally developed at Lyft. Union lets engineering teams author AI and ML pipelines in pure Python, then run them at scale with dynamic branching, retries, caching, and versioning.
The platform executes inside the customer's own cloud account across AWS, Azure, or GCP, so data and models never leave customer infrastructure. It scales to workflows with tens of thousands of parallel actions and supports long-lived agentic AI systems with durable, self-healing orchestration.
Based in Bellevue, Washington, Union raised a $38.1 million Series A led by NEA in 2026 to launch Union 2.0, reporting 3x revenue growth in 2025 with customers including Spotify, Carfax, and Hopper.
