Ultimate Vocal Remover
Free open-source desktop app for AI vocal and stem separation.
About
Ultimate Vocal Remover, usually called UVR, is a free open-source desktop application that splits songs into vocals, instrumentals, drums, bass, and other stems. It bundles state-of-the-art separation models including MDX-Net and Demucs behind a graphical interface, so producers get paid-tool quality without a subscription.
It runs locally on Windows, macOS, and Linux with no account, no watermark, and no file limits. The project is maintained by Anjok07 with community-trained models, and it is widely recommended as the best fully free option for vocal removal and remixing.
What it can do
- Vocal and instrumental separation
- Multi-stem splits with Demucs and MDX-Net models
- Batch processing and ensemble mode
- Free with no usage limits
Setup
Download the installer from the GitHub releases page, choose a separation model from the built-in downloader, drop in an audio file, and start processing.
