tldraw
Infinite-canvas whiteboard and React SDK, now with AI agents that draw alongside you.
About
tldraw is two things: a polished infinite-canvas whiteboard (shapes, arrows, text, sticky notes, real-time collaboration with no signup) and the React SDK underneath it (~46k GitHub stars) that has become the default canvas primitive for AI applications. Its Make Real feature turns sketched wireframes into working HTML/CSS with AI, and the SDK ships AI-ready canvas primitives for agent-powered apps.
In October 2026 tldraw launched an official plugin for ChatGPT and Codex using OpenAI's new MCP spec: your chat gets a live tldraw canvas where you, teammates, and agents collaborate in real time, and agents can read boards as context via @tldraw.
Limitations: the license is custom, not OSI open source — free use requires keeping the small "Made with tldraw" watermark, and removing it needs a business license. The AI generation features produce rough drafts that need cleanup, not finished artifacts.
