Tilda
Block-based builder with a cult following among designers — 550+ blocks, Zero Block freeform editor, and code export.
About
Tilda is a block-based website builder launched in 2014 by a team led by Nikita Obukhov, designed with designers in mind. You assemble pages from 550+ pre-designed blocks (covers, typography, galleries, forms, stores), and power users get Zero Block — a freeform editor for custom layouts and animations — plus Figma import that turns Figma files into publishable pages (per user reviews).
Beyond the builder, Tilda ships an integrated CRM, an online store (card, PayPal, Stripe payments), an email builder, a quiz/calculator builder, and even an online-courses module. Business plans allow exporting pages as HTML to host anywhere — a rare exit ramp among hosted builders. Pricing: free (1 site, 50 pages, 50MB), Personal $10/mo annual (1 site, custom domain, full block library), Business $20/mo annual (5 sites, code export). G2 reviews skew strongly positive.

Use cases
Works with
Trust score — 8/10
Scored 8/10 (VERIFIED tier, metrics-v1). Evidence: operating since 2014 with a long release history; strongly positive user reviews on G2 and SourceForge praising Zero Block and SEO outcomes; HTML export confirmed across reviews. Strengths: the rare hosted builder with an exit ramp, deep feature set (CRM, courses, email) for the price, fast feature shipping per user reports. Docked for: (1) smaller English-language template/ecosystem than Wix or Squarespace; (2) ecommerce and quiz tooling are serviceable rather than best-in-class; (3) no published independent benchmarks — performance claims are anecdotal. License: proprietary SaaS, closed-source.
