Tempo
Prompt-to-app React builder — multi-agent planning, visual editor, and one-click deploys.
About
Tempo (formerly Tempo Labs) is a browser-based AI platform that turns natural-language prompts into full-stack React applications. A multi-agent system plans user flows — generating flow diagrams before writing code — then builds the app, which you refine in a visual drag-and-drop editor with real-time preview or drop into VS Code for local edits. It syncs with GitHub, supports Supabase backends, imports components from Storybook, and ships an MCP App Store for adding payments, messaging, and AI agents. Billing is flat-rate message credits rather than tokens: free tier offers 30 prompts (max 5/day, error fixes free), Pro is $30/month for 150 prompts.
The honest caveat: it is React-only — Vue, Svelte, or non-React stacks need not apply, a deliberate but limiting trade-off. The 30-prompt free tier (5/day) runs out fast on real projects, and prompt-credit billing punishes iteration on tricky UIs. AI-generated React is clean for MVPs but can produce prop-drilling and state-management patterns a senior engineer would refactor. The optional Agent+ service ($4,000/month for 1–3 features/week) is agency pricing, not tooling pricing.
What it can do
- Multi-agent planning with user-flow diagrams before codegen
- Visual drag-and-drop React editor with live preview
- One-click deploys with GitHub sync and Supabase backend
- MCP App Store: payments, messaging, AI agents as add-ons
- Storybook import and community component templates
Setup
Sign up at tempolabs.ai (no credit card for free tier). Describe your app in the prompt box, review the generated user-flow plan, then iterate in the visual editor or pull the code to GitHub/VS Code.
Prerequisites
A React-friendly project idea. GitHub account for repo sync (optional but recommended).
