Tambo
Generative UI SDK: let AI render your React components from prompts.
About
Tambo is a generative UI SDK for React that lets AI decide which of your app's components to render in response to natural language. You register components with Zod prop schemas, wrap the app in TamboProvider, and the AI composes interfaces — charts, boards, forms — from user prompts. A headless @tambo-ai/react-ui-base library provides unstyled chat primitives (thread, message, input, tool-call and reasoning views) you can skin with any design system.
It is actively developed with public docs at docs.tambo.co and an open-source demo gallery showing the same chat skinned in 14 UI frameworks.
It is React-only, requires a Tambo API key and its hosted inference service, and the ecosystem is young — expect API churn and evolving pricing as it matures.
What it can do
- AI-driven component rendering from natural language
- Interactable components users can refine in chat
- Headless chat primitives for any design system
- Thread history, streaming, and tool-call views
Setup
