About

Swarmia is a Helsinki-founded software engineering intelligence platform that helps engineering teams improve developer productivity and experience. It provides real-time insights into product development with DORA and SPACE metrics, developer experience surveys, bottleneck analysis, and team-defined working agreements (such as review time targets, WIP limits, and PR size standards) enforced through Slack alerts and personal nudges.

The company raised a 10 million euro Series A in June 2025 led by DIG Ventures and Karma Ventures, with angel investors including OpenAI's head of developer experience Romain Huet and Slack co-founder Cal Henderson. Its client portfolio includes Docker, Webflow, Miro, Trustpilot, and Pleo, and total funding stands around $20 million.

Limitation: Swarmia is designed around metadata and delivery metrics, with limited AI-era capabilities — it does not do code diff analysis or AI authorship attribution, and cannot track AI technical debt longitudinally. It is also GitHub-centric, so multi-provider setups are weaker than some competitors.
