About

Sunsama is a daily planning app for knowledge workers who want a clear boundary between work and life at the end of the day. Each morning it walks you through a guided planning ritual: pull tasks in from Asana, Trello, Jira, Todoist, Notion, GitHub, Gmail and other tools, then drag them onto your calendar as timeboxed blocks. An evening shutdown ritual reviews what got done and rolls the rest forward.

It syncs two ways with Google, Outlook and Apple calendars, and includes a focus mode with a Pomodoro timer, time estimates versus actuals, weekly objectives and a Sunday weekly review. The philosophy is deliberately manual: Sunsama gives you the ritual rather than an autopilot, which fans say keeps them honest about how much fits in a day.

There is no free plan, just a 14-day trial. Pricing is a single tier at about $20 per month, or $16 per month billed annually. It is built for individuals rather than teams, and reviewers note the price stings next to simpler to-do apps.

What it can do

  • Guided morning planning and evening shutdown rituals
  • Task consolidation from 15+ tools
  • Drag-and-drop timeboxing on a unified calendar
  • Two-way Google, Outlook and Apple calendar sync
  • Focus mode with Pomodoro timer
  • Weekly objectives and time-tracking analytics

Setup

  1. Start the 14-day trial at sunsama.com.
  2. Connect your calendar and task tools (Asana, Trello, Todoist, and others).
  3. Run the morning planning ritual: pull tasks in and timebox them on your calendar.
  4. Use the evening shutdown to review the day and roll tasks forward.

Prerequisites
