SNOW is an AR camera and photo messaging app launched in 2015 by Camp Mobile, a subsidiary of South Korean internet giant Naver. It offers hundreds of AR stickers, face filters, beauty effects, and short video tools, becoming the dominant selfie camera across Asia with over 200 million users.
The company spun out as SNOW Corp. in 2016 and raised $50M from SoftBank and Sequoia China in 2018 to develop its AR and facial-recognition technology, including a partnership with SenseTime. SNOW Corp. also owns the B612 and Foodie camera apps, sharing its AR tech across the family.
