About

A single-skill repo (SKILL.md at root) teaching agents Tailwind CSS v4's CSS-first model: @import "tailwindcss", @theme design tokens, custom utilities via @utility, variants via @custom-variant, plus semantic tokens, dark mode on CSS variables, v3→v4 migration, and review checklists. Cross-checked against the Tailwind engine source and official docs per its README, with docs/, references/, examples/, and evals/.

No official Tailwind Labs skill exists — this is the best verified community alternative, but with a single commit and 3 stars it is essentially unreviewed: treat its v4 claims as provider-claimed until validated.

What it can do

  • Tailwind v4 CSS-first setup and @theme token design
  • v3→v4 migration workflows
  • Responsive/variant/dark-mode patterns
  • Design-token mapping from an existing design system
  • Review checklist and anti-pattern gallery
  • 27 example components in both utility-first and BEM+@apply forms

Setup

  1. Claude Code (personal): git clone https://github.com/rekryt/skill-tailwind.git ~/.claude/skills/skill-tailwind
  2. Project-only: git clone https://github.com/rekryt/skill-tailwind.git .claude/skills/skill-tailwind
  3. Other agents: copy the folder into the agent's skills path.

Trust score — 5/10

/10 trustMetrics-checked

Real, MIT-licensed, and genuinely detailed (docs, examples, evals, bilingual README). But: single commit, 3 stars, one author — essentially unreviewed by the community, so accuracy of its v4 claims is provider-claimed, not validated. Use with reservations; do not present it as an official Tailwind product. Revisit once a Tailwind Labs skill (or a better-vetted community one) appears.
