Shopify Skills
Official Shopify agent skills — verified context for themes, Liquid, and APIs.
About
Shopify Skills is the official agent-skills repository from Shopify (github.com/Shopify/agent-skills), a collection of skills verified to work with Shopify's development ecosystem. Each skill bundles a SKILL.md instruction file, a search_docs.js script that queries shopify.dev documentation, a validate.js script that checks generated code against API schemas and component libraries, a config.json with metadata, and compressed GraphQL schemas in assets/. Installed via the npx skill CLI, they give Claude Code API-specific context, doc search, and code validation for every Shopify surface — themes, Liquid, Hydrogen, Functions, and the Admin/Storefront APIs.
The honest picture: the repo is generated upstream and doesn't accept contributions or PRs, so community fixes can't land directly. Skills are only as current as Shopify's generation pipeline — brand-new API versions may lag. They also assume you're already working in the Shopify ecosystem; for general e-commerce questions they add little. Still, for agents writing Liquid or Shopify Functions, verified schemas beat hallucinated filters every time.
