ScrapeOps

Proxy aggregation, scraper monitoring, and job scheduling in one platform built around Scrapy.

About

ScrapeOps is a web scraping operations platform whose two flagship products are a proxy aggregator and a monitoring suite. The proxy aggregator routes requests through 15+ proxy providers from a single endpoint, continuously benchmarking which provider performs best per target domain and falling back automatically. It handles proxy rotation, rotating user agents and headers, ban detection, CAPTCHA handling, geotargeting, and headless-browser JavaScript rendering. A Scrapy downloader middleware drops it into existing spiders with a settings.py change.

The monitoring side is a free SDK (pip install scrapeops-scrapy) that streams job stats to a dashboard: success rate by domain, requests per second, item counts, error categorization, and log aggregation, with custom health checks and alerts. Scheduling and deployment run over SSH and GitHub integrations, so scrapers across multiple servers can be managed from one place. Pricing details were not verified on the official site for this entry, so treat the published plan rates with caution; the 1,000 free proxy API credits at signup are provider-stated.

What it can do

  • Proxy aggregator across 15+ providers with per-domain routing
  • Automatic rotation, ban detection, and CAPTCHA handling
  • Headless-browser JavaScript rendering
  • Residential and mobile proxy aggregation
  • Real-time Scrapy job monitoring with alerts and log aggregation
  • SSH-based job scheduling and GitHub code deployment
  • Parser API and structured-data APIs for popular sites

Setup

Sign up at scrapeops.io for an API key; pip install scrapeops-scrapy for monitoring or the proxy SDK, then add the middleware to settings.py.

Prerequisites

A ScrapeOps API key; Python and Scrapy for the native SDKs, or any HTTP client for the proxy API.

Trust score — 7/10

/10 trustMetrics-checked

Scored 7/10 (metrics tier, metrics-v1). Evidence: scrapeops.io documents the proxy aggregator, the free Scrapy monitoring SDK, and the scheduling/deployment features; the GitHub org (ScrapeOps) publishes the SDKs. Strengths: rare combination of proxy routing plus genuine Scrapy-native observability, genuinely useful free monitoring tier. Docked for: (1) proprietary routing logic is a black box, you trust their per-domain benchmarks; (2) pricing transparency is weaker than pure proxy vendors; (3) success rates are provider-claimed with no published independent benchmark. License: proprietary.
