About

Riverside is a browser-based recording studio for podcasts and video content. Each participant is recorded locally on their own device in up to 4K video and 48kHz audio, so internet hiccups never degrade quality. After recording, AI tools take over: text-based editing, Magic Clips (auto-generated shareable highlights), AI show notes, automated transcription, Magic Audio cleanup, and eye-gaze correction.

The free plan is genuinely usable (720p, watermarked, 2 hours of separate-track downloads), and paid plans start at $19/month Standard or $29/month Pro. The editing suite is less deep than Descript's, and some users report browser compatibility quirks outside Chrome. Spotify's own team reportedly uses it for remote recording, which speaks to the core capture quality.

What it can do

  • Local recording per participant (up to 4K/48kHz)
  • Text-based AI video editor
  • Magic Clips auto-highlight reels
  • AI show notes and transcription
  • Magic Audio noise cleanup
  • Live streaming and call-ins (paid tiers)
