About

QCut is a free and open-source desktop video editor built on Electron, aimed at creators who want CapCut-style editing without paywalls, watermarks, or cloud uploads. It offers a multi-track timeline, media workspace, filter library, and FFmpeg-powered processing through WebAssembly, with all processing done locally on the user's machine.

The project ships with an AI pipeline CLI covering generation and analysis: text-to-image and text/image-to-video through providers including Kling, LTX, Minimax, Runway, Veo, and Luma, plus digital human generation, motion transfer, upscaling, video transcription with subtitles and speaker diarization, automatic highlight clipping, and HeyGen-powered video translation. The main repository, maintained by donghaozhang under the quriosity-agent organization, carries roughly 40 stars as of early 2026.
