PlayAI
Voice AI platform for conversational agents, TTS, and voice cloning.

About
PlayAI, formerly known as PlayHT, was a generative voice platform offering realistic text-to-speech models, AI voice agents, and a podcast generation tool called PlayNote. Its platform centered on the PlayDialog conversational model and the Play 3.0 Mini model, with more than 200 prebuilt voices across multiple languages and sub-second latency suited to conversational applications.
The platform exposed REST and streaming endpoints for text-to-speech, voice listing, voice cloning, and voice agent management, shipped Python and Node.js SDKs with a hosted playground, and offered a no-code agent builder alongside API access, with plans scaling from a free tier to production tiers.
Lifecycle caveat: PlayAI was acquired by Meta in July 2025 and the team joined Meta's AI organization; the standalone PlayAI product, subscriptions, and API are no longer active. This entry is historical.
