Pipedream
Developer integration platform whose hosted MCP server turns 3,000+ APIs into one callable tool layer for AI agents.
About
Pipedream started as a code-first integration platform for event-driven workflows in Node.js, Python, Go, and Bash, and has become one of the main ways developers give AI agents broad API access. Its hosted MCP server exposes more than 10,000 pre-built actions across roughly 3,000 APIs as MCP tools, with OAuth and per-user account connections handled server-side so the agent never touches raw credentials.
The platform ships three product lines: code-level Workflows, Connect (an embedded toolkit so products can add customer-facing integrations and AI agents with managed OAuth), and the hosted MCP server that can also be self-hosted via npx. In November 2025 Pipedream announced an acquisition agreement with Workday, which leaves the long-term roadmap for its developer-facing products uncertain. Pricing is usage-based with a free tier, and Connect runs $99/month plus $2 per additional user.
What it can do
- Hosted MCP server with 10,000+ tools across 3,000+ APIs
- Code-first workflows in Node.js, Python, Go, or Bash
- Pipedream Connect for embedded end-user integrations
- Managed per-user OAuth, token storage, and refresh
- Event-driven triggers (HTTP, schedules, app events)
Setup
Sign up at pipedream.com, connect app accounts via OAuth, then point any MCP client at the hosted remote MCP server or self-host with npx @pipedream/mcp.
