Persona is an identity verification platform used for KYC, AML, fraud prevention, and age assurance. It verifies government-issued documents against live selfies with liveness checks, layered with device, behavioral, and network signals to catch impersonation and deepfakes.
The platform supports ID verification across more than 200 countries and territories, plus reusable verified identities and passkey-based credentials. In May 2025 it raised $200 million at a $2 billion valuation, and Anthropic selected it to verify some Claude users, a sign of its standing in the identity stack.
