Patchright
Drop-in Playwright fork patched to evade bot detection for agent browser automation.
About
Patchright is a fork of Playwright with one job: keep automated browsers from being detected as bots. It fixes the CDP leaks that anti-bot systems look for, most notably the Runtime.enable command that Cloudflare, DataDome, Kasada, Akamai, and Fingerprint.com fingerprint to flag automation.
It applies 22 patches to Playwright's source using AST manipulation: removing Runtime.enable and Console.enable from the CDP surface, stripping --enable-automation from Chrome launch flags, hiding navigator.webdriver, and enabling interaction with closed Shadow DOM elements. It is a drop-in replacement with the same API, available in Python, Node.js, and .NET, with about 2.8K stars as of March 2026. Chromium only; Firefox and WebKit are unsupported, and console.* inside the browser is disabled as an anti-detection tradeoff. Dual-use caution: it is widely adopted by AI agents and scrapers, and also by actors testing anti-bot defenses.
