OpenManus
Open-source framework replicating Manus AI autonomous task execution.
About
OpenManus is a community-driven open-source initiative to replicate the capabilities of Manus, the general-purpose AI agent developed by Monica. It provides a modular, containerized framework for autonomous multi-step task execution spanning web browsing, code execution, file operations, and data analysis.
Built with Docker, Python, and JavaScript, OpenManus uses a ReAct-style agent loop with explicit planning, human-in-the-loop tooling, and multi-agent orchestration. Researchers from the MetaGPT community built the first version, and the project has since spawned an active ecosystem of forks and contributors extending its toolkits.
What it can do
- Autonomous multi-step task execution
- Web browsing, code execution, and file operations
- Multi-agent orchestration with planning flows
- Human-in-the-loop ask_human tool
