About
Move AI's software turns ordinary video into 3D motion data using computer vision, biomechanics modeling, and physics — no reflective markers or mocap suits. Its Genesis platform scales from single-camera creator setups to multi-camera studio capture of up to eight performers across football-pitch-sized volumes, and the tech has been used by Epic Games, Ubisoft, Disney, Sony, and Meta.
In October 2026 Oxford Metrics acquired Move AI's assets for £525,000 in cash, folding the team, patents, and customers into Vicon to accelerate its markerless strategy — a strikingly low price against ~$17M raised, which the buyer attributed to the creative-tech investment pullback. Expect the standalone Move.ai product line to be absorbed into Vicon's offering; evaluate accordingly.
