About
Motif Design is a browser-based building information modeling platform built around AI agents rather than a copilot panel: agents help with iteration, drawing, inserting finishes and products, and coordinating 2D and 3D views in a shared cloud model.
It was founded in 2023 by former Autodesk leaders Amar Hanspal and Brian Mathews with Revit founding-team members, and has raised $46M from Redpoint Ventures and CapitalG. Skidmore Owings & Merrill has tested it and contributed to its development.
Limitation: pricing is not published, it is still early (Motif Design launched in 2026), and firms with deep Revit workflows will face a real migration cost regardless of how good the browser experience is.
