MiniMax
Chinese AI video platform behind Hailuo, with the H3 model doing native 2K video plus audio.
About
MiniMax is the Shanghai AI company behind Hailuo, one of the strongest text-to-video and image-to-video platforms coming out of China. Its current flagship, MiniMax H3 (also called Hailuo 3.0, released publicly July 31, 2026), produces native 2K output at 24fps in clips of 5 to 15 seconds, with synchronized audio generated in the same pass. An omni-reference system lets a single generation take text, image, video, and audio context together.
Independent 2026 testing found Hailuo H3 delivered the most pixels per dollar of the major video models, returning true 2560x1440 frames at roughly one-seventh the per-megapixel cost of competing flagship models. The older Hailuo 2.3 line remains available and scores well on physical motion, character micro-expressions, and stylized output like anime and ink wash. A newer Video Agent feature turns prompts into finished short videos with visible reasoning steps, aimed at creators who found clip-by-clip workflows too slow.
