About

Mem (mem.ai) is a capture-first note app: you drop notes in via web, mobile, email, or Slack, and its AI auto-tags and auto-links them by embedding similarity. No folders to manage.

Mem 2.0 added an agentic AI layer and Mem Chat for asking questions across your notes. Free tier (25 notes/month); Pro around $12-15/month. Great at surfacing past notes, weaker at turning them into finished documents.

What it can do

  • Frictionless capture (web, mobile, email, Slack)
  • Auto-tagging and auto-linking
  • Mem Chat (Q&A over your notes)
  • AI-powered deep search
  • Collections
  • PDF ingestion (Pro)
  • API access (Pro)
  • Meeting briefs (beta)

Setup

  1. Sign up at mem.ai (free tier available).
  2. Capture notes via the web app, iOS app, email forwarder, or Slack bot.
  3. Let the AI auto-tag and link notes; use Mem Chat to retrieve context.
  4. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited notes, deep search, PDF ingestion, and API access.

Prerequisites

Web browser or iOS device; internet connection for AI features.
