About
Mask AI was Topaz Labs' application for cutting out subjects and replacing backgrounds, using machine learning to detect edges, hair, and complex boundaries that are tedious to mask by hand. It was aimed at portrait, product, and compositing workflows.
Topaz lists Mask AI among its discontinued Legacy Programs: it is no longer developed or sold, and its masking capabilities were absorbed into the broader Topaz Photo AI product. Existing installs may keep working but receive no updates.
