Martian
LLM model router that picks the best model per prompt.
About
Martian's Model Router takes in a prompt intended for an LLM and automatically routes it to the best model for that request, optimizing for quality, latency, and cost. Its Model Mapping technique predicts how different models will perform on a given request before any of them run, so easy prompts go to cheap models and hard ones to frontier systems.
Founded by UPenn interpretability researchers Shriyash Upadhyay and Etan Ginsberg, Martian emerged from stealth with $9M from NEA and others and has become one of the reference implementations of routing-as-infrastructure, with enterprise adoption via partners like Accenture.
What it can do
- Per-prompt model routing
- Cost, latency, and quality optimization
- Model Mapping performance prediction
- Enterprise orchestration layer
