Lensa
Mobile photo editor with AI Magic Avatars and portrait retouching.
About
Lensa is a mobile photo editing app by Prisma Labs, best known for its Magic Avatars feature that generates dozens of stylized AI portraits from 10-20 selfies. The app went viral in late 2022, topping App Store charts and reportedly processing hundreds of millions of avatars. Beyond avatars, it offers one-tap enhancement, background removal, portrait retouching, and artistic filters.
Magic Avatars are a one-time purchase (around $3.99+ per pack of 50), while the full editing suite runs on a Premium subscription (~$7.99/month or $35.99/year). Honest caveats: the app has faced criticism over training-data ethics and occasional sexualized or stereotyped outputs, and uploaded selfies are processed on company servers before deletion.
