LegalFly
Secure legal AI agents for law firms and in-house teams, built by ex-Tinder product engineers.
About
LegalFly is a Ghent, Belgium-based legal AI platform founded in 2023 by former Tinder product experts Ruben Miessen, Kasper Verbeeck, Dennis Montegnies, and Gregory Vekemans. It sells secure, end-to-end automation of legal work to law firms and enterprise legal teams, with a focus on finance and insurance. Its differentiator is security architecture: on-premise anonymisation scrubs sensitive data before anything reaches a language model, and an LLM-agnostic layer selects the model per scenario. The company says it counts dozens of leading European law firms and enterprises as customers, with partnerships including Slaughter & May and Allianz.
LegalFly raised over 15 million euros in Series A funding led by Notion Capital in July 2024, with participation from redalpine and Fortino Capital, eight months after a 2 million euro seed round. In a 2026 interview the CEO said the company is going all-in on in-house legal teams and expanding in the UK. Pricing is not public and onboarding runs through the sales team, so treat the anonymisation and model-routing claims as vendor-described until independently audited.
