Lalaland.ai
AI-generated diverse fashion models for e-commerce product photography.

About
Lalaland.ai is a Dutch fashion-tech startup that generates photorealistic synthetic models for apparel brands. Instead of booking separate photoshoots, a retailer can show each garment on models of different body types, ages, and skin tones, which the company positions as both an inclusivity play and a conversion lever: shoppers who see themselves in the model buy more and return less.
The company won the Tommy Hilfiger Fashion Frontier Challenge in 2022, landed on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe list, and partnered with Levi's in 2023 to test AI-generated models as a supplement to human models, a move that drew both praise and backlash over displacing real models. In July 2025 Lalaland was acquired by Browzwear, folding its synthetic-model library into 3D apparel design workflows. The Levi's episode remains the industry's defining debate on AI models versus model diversity.
