acquired by Fortinet Aug 2024; integrated into Fortinet Security Fabric
About
Lacework was a cloud-native application protection platform built around machine learning, anomaly detection, and behavioral analytics. Founded in 2015, it grew to nearly a thousand customers by using AI models to spot malicious activity in cloud environments, rank vulnerabilities by severity, and trace file changes and events associated with potential breaches, securing workloads from code to cloud.
Fortinet announced the acquisition of Lacework in June 2024 to expand its AI and cloud security portfolio, integrating the platform into its Security Fabric and SASE offerings. The product now ships as Lacework FortiCNAPP, an AI-driven unified platform for multi-cloud security.
