KoboldAI
Open-source front end for AI-assisted creative writing.
About
KoboldAI is an open-source browser-based interface for writing fiction and interactive stories with large language models. It connects to local backends like KoboldCpp as well as remote endpoints and the AI Horde network, giving writers a purpose-built alternative to chat-style interfaces.
It offers story, adventure, chat, and instruct modes, with writer-focused features such as memory, author's notes, world info, undo and retry on any passage, and image generation inline with the story. The project is community-maintained and remains one of the most popular ways to run creative-writing workflows against local models.
