Kindroid
Personal AI companion with lifelike memory, voice calls, and selfie generation.
About
Kindroid is a mobile AI companion app where users design a personal AI with custom appearance, voice, personality, and backstory, then chat by text or voice call. Its four-layer memory system remembers user-provided details and past conversations so the character stays consistent over weeks, and features include AI-generated selfies, group chats with multiple Kindroids, and web access for current information. The app has around 1.8 million installs with a 4.4-star rating and subscriptions near $13-14 per month.
Kindroid emphasizes privacy with encrypted messages, but the flexibility of user-designed characters means moderation and age gating deserve a check, and users should review data retention terms before sharing personal details. AI selfies beyond the free quota cost extra credits.
