About

Harness is an end-to-end software delivery platform covering CI/CD, feature flags, cloud cost management, security testing orchestration, and chaos engineering. Founded in 2017 by Jyoti Bansal, it positions itself around the post-code half of engineering: testing, verification, security, governance, and deployment at enterprise scale.

In 2025-2026 the company went all-in on AI: it raised a $240M Series E in December 2025 at a $5.5B valuation led by Goldman Sachs, reported 128M deployments processed in a year with ARR above $250M, acquired Qwiet AI for code security, and in October 2026 acquired select Augment Code assets (Cosmos, the Auggie CLI, and its Code Context Engine) to build a Harness Cosmos Software Factory Agent aimed at an autonomous SDLC from idea to production.

Limitations to note: growth and ARR figures are company-reported; the Augment Code asset acquisition is recent and integration outcomes are unverified; enterprise pricing is sales-led and opaque; and the AI agent layer is new enough that regulated-industry buyers should evaluate governance controls carefully.

What it can do

  • CI/CD pipelines with AI-driven verification
  • Harness AI agents for testing, security, and delivery
  • Software Delivery Knowledge Graph for delivery context
  • Cloud cost management and optimization
