FireCut

AI editing panel that lives inside Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve

Visit official site →

About

FireCut is an AI plugin for Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve that automates the repetitive parts of editing: silence cutting, animated captions, smart zoom cuts, chapter detection, and multi-cam speaker switching. Because it edits natively on your timeline instead of re-rendering a finished file, your cuts and captions stay editable in the host app. It is a strong fit for talking-head and podcast editors, though it only makes sense if you already pay for one of the supported NLEs.

What it can do

  • Automated silence cutting with J-cuts
  • Animated word-by-word captions in 50+ languages
  • Smart zoom cuts at speech cadence
  • Multi-cam auto-switching by speaker
  • Filler, profanity, and repetition cleanup
  • Chapter detection for YouTube SEO

Setup

  1. Download the FireCut installer for your OS
  2. Install and restart Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
  3. Open the FireCut panel from the Extensions menu
  4. Start a 7-day trial or subscribe; plans start around $10/mo billed yearly
