Figma
Collaborative design platform with AI generation, sites, and MCP integration.
About
Figma is the dominant collaborative interface design platform, and since 2025 it has pushed hard into AI. Figma Make (launched May 2025) generates interactive React applications from text prompts, images, or design frames, reading your style libraries and design tokens to apply brand colors and spacing. Figma Sites lets you design and publish responsive websites directly from Figma, and a Dev Mode MCP server feeds design context straight into AI coding assistants like Cursor and Claude Code.
AI runs on a credit system bundled into seat plans: Professional starts at $16/month per full seat with 3,000 AI credits monthly, with cheaper Dev ($12) and Collab ($3) seats; heavier users buy credit packs or pay as you go. The multi-model AI layer lets you pick Claude, Gemini, or GPT per task. Honest caveats from 2026 reviews: credits burn fast in Make, Make files cannot be exported back to Figma Design, and the AI surface is fragmented across Agent, Make, Weave, and Dev Mode. Students and educators with .edu emails get it free.
What it can do

- First Drafts, visual/asset search, and rename-layers AI assistance
- Dev Mode MCP server and Code Connect for design-to-code workflows
- Multi-model AI (Claude, Gemini, GPT) across Agent, Make, and Weave surfaces
