DiffSinger
Open-source diffusion-based singing voice synthesis with 44.1kHz output.
About
DiffSinger is an open-source singing voice synthesis system based on the shallow diffusion mechanism described in arXiv 2105.02446. The OpenVPI-maintained version refactors the original research code into a production-oriented package with 44.1kHz audio output, improved acoustic models, faster diffusion sampling, and variance controls for pitch, energy, and breathiness.
It sits at the center of the open vocal-synth ecosystem alongside OpenUTAU, accepting community voicebanks and USTX projects. Released under Apache 2.0, it gives independent musicians and researchers a free alternative to commercial vocal synths, with the usual caveat that synthesized voices should only be trained on licensed or consented voice data.
What it can do
- Diffusion-based singing voice synthesis
- 44.1kHz high-fidelity output
- Pitch, energy, and breathiness controls
- USTX project and community voicebank support
Setup
Clone from GitHub and install the Python environment, or use a community GUI build.
Prerequisites
Python, a GPU recommended, and a compatible voicebank.
