Darkroom is a photo and video editor for iPhone, iPad, and macOS, built by Bergen Co. It offers desktop-grade editing on mobile: RAW and ProRAW support, curves, selective color, batch editing, and 4K/8K video color grading. Its AI features include depth-based editing that builds a 3D map of a scene so you can adjust foreground, background, and subject separately, plus smart object detection that isolates skies, skin, hair, glasses, and teeth in portraits.
Darkroom won the Apple Design Award in 2020 and has been an Apple Editor's Choice since 2018. It is free with in-app purchases for the full pro toolset. It competes directly with Lightroom Mobile; the tradeoff is an Apple-only footprint, so Android and Windows photographers need to look elsewhere.
