About

The official repository at github.com/cursor/plugins defines how Cursor plugins are packaged and ships the reference set of plugins. Each plugin is a standalone directory at the repository root with a .cursor-plugin/plugin.json manifest, plus conventional skills/, rules/, and mcp.json directories; a root .cursor-plugin/marketplace.json lists all plugins in the marketplace. The repo includes developer-tools plugins (continual-learning, thermos, orchestrate, pstack, ralph-loop, cli-for-agent, create-plugin, advisor, cursor-sdk) and roughly 90 integration plugins covering Gmail, Google Calendar, GitHub, Playwright, Salesforce, Shopify, Slack-adjacent services, and more. It is MIT licensed and also serves as the reference spec for third-party plugin builders.

What it can do

  • Reference plugin manifest spec: `.cursor-plugin/plugin.json` per plugin, `.cursor-plugin/marketplace.json` for the marketplace
  • Official plugins: skills/, rules/, and mcp.json components per plugin
  • Developer-tools plugins: thermos (security audits with parallel subagents), orchestrate (fan-out to cloud agents), pstack (rigorous agent workflows), ralph-loop (iterative self-referential loops), continual-learning (transcript-driven AGENTS.md memory updates)
  • Productivity plugins: Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Teams, SharePoint
  • ~90 integration plugins: GitHub, Playwright, Salesforce, Shopify, HubSpot, Intercom, Zoom, and more
  • cursor-sdk for building apps, scripts, and automations with the TypeScript SDK

Setup

  1. Open Cursor and open the Plugins marketplace.
  2. Search for the plugin you want (e.g. thermos, orchestrate, github).
  3. Install the plugin and follow any authentication flow Cursor prompts for.
  4. To build your own plugin, scaffold with the create-plugin plugin or consult the schemas/ directory and the reference manifest layout.
